‘Decadence’ is the first EP that La Vie Sauvage has released in 2022. The dark, industrial/electro tracks were mainly inspired by Gaspar Noé’s ‘Irreversible’, the anarchistic energy of punk and elite occultism akin to Stanley Kubrick’s ‘Eyes Wide Shut’. After exploring electronica and synthpop on his debut album, this EP marked his entrance into the EBM/dark techno scene, inspired by artists such as Gesaffelstein, SebastiAn and Boys Noize.

Previously accompanied by his musical partner Emma on their vocal-driven synthpop songs, this new music emphasizes his individuality, making full-circle with the DJ performances that started his career, playing electro in Rotterdam nightclubs.

The EP has a strong tendency towards the rhythmic sensuality of electronic body music, EBM in short, coupled with melodic hooks to please mainstream audiences. Earlier mentioned DJs played a great role in shaping this sound, where La Vie Sauvage has refined it with his own characteristics over time.

Decadence is a club driven, electro house track, with heavily compressed and saturated synth sounds plus an atmospheric immersive vocal line that acts as the lead instrument. Reinvented French music with a mystical touch. – Secret Eclectic
